Bikers Against Drugs XX
Here we go again, six in the morning, hogs to cook, a hall to set up, etc. ad nauseum.
But, it was really worth it!
This years B.A.D. Dance had the largest attendance that we have seen in years. If you missed this one, ya missed a good one.
First off we need to thank all the people that just came in and gave us a hand and then a really big thank you to all that gave us donations, whether it was cash or prizes, it helped make this a great evening. Lets not forget the vendors, who offered a wide variety of products for all to peruse. A special shout out to Miami Mike and his Wheels On The Road magazine for publishing a short article and our flyer in his magazine.
The doors were opened at five and it was balls to the wall for the next 5 or 6 hours. Not quite expecting the tremendous early turnout, we kind of got caught with our pants down and ran out of food a lot earlier than we expected. We would like to apologize to those who didn't get a chance to partake in the hog or the rest of the food, but as said earlier, the doors opened a lot earlier this year and, thank god, we were just slammed. (I was told the food was really good, if you get my drift).
There was in excess of $2000.00 in prizes donated this year, and every one of them went home with someone. We sold out of this years T-shirts, most of the soda was gone, the parking lot was full, the 50-50 was one of the biggest we have seen in quite awhile, the band was awesome, people were dancing, and there was even a pie virgin in this years pie-in-the-eye! It's all this and the attendance by the clean and sober community and other motorcycle clubs that completed the formula for success.
Time for me to shut up (when isn't it!) so you can go take a gander at all of this years photos.
