Bikers Against Drugs Dance 2009
Now thats what I'm talking about!
Don't know where all the people came from, but this years BAD Dance was just another awesome sober event! The band, Natural Habit rocked the house down with their great variety of music. Everyone who spoke of the band had nothing but good things to say. If you are interested in hearing them play again, just visit their website on My Space. http://www.myspace.com/naturalhabit is the URL.
This event is always planned a year out from the next one and next years event is scheduled for April 3rd, 2010. We also had a trailer cleaning party a couple weeks ago, thus the photos of the guys with 'plastic abs"
Our special guests, Rich and Dawn from The 12 Step Music Fest were in attendance also, and she joined the band in one of their sets and as usual gave another of her fantastic performances. We can't thank them enough for attending our event.
Did I mention what time we were there this year to cook over 600 pounds of pig? Never mind, you can probably guess that is was in the wee hours of the morning. There was also 150 pounds of chicken and over 100 pounds of sausage cooked. We want to give a special shout out to Clint and his friends for all their hard work in doing a lot of the actual cooking ( no Harley, I didn't forget you). Prez Harley was presented this year with an 'offishul' 3T Apron commemorating this years 21st Bad Dance
I can't forget all the sponsors and vendors who contributed freely and generously to assist us in realizing our goals of purchasing 12 step recovery literature for our local community. Once again, Dawn and Rich from the 12 Step Music Fest came through and donated two four day passes to this years event. They also informed us that if you sign up and use the Promo Code: 3tmf, we will receive enough to purchase one recovery book for each ticket sold. Take advantage of their early bird pricing and help us out at the same time. Now, it don't get any better than that does it!
I do know for a fact that some of our attendance was from people very early in recovery, and they were able to see that we can have fun in life without alcohol or drugs
Although the doors didn't officially open until 6 PM, when the clock did strike six, we had quite a food line and it kept up for at least the next hour. Nobody went without this year, and we even offered seconds for free towards the end of the evening.
Luckily for you, I have just been attacked by writers block, so stop your reading and head on down to the pictures below and on the next pages before I catch a second wind!
Just one more time I would like to thank all the vendors, sponsors, support helpers, and finally, you, for attending this years event and making it another memorable Bikers Against Drugs Dance.
Did I mention that so far about half of our club will be attending this years 12 Step Music Fest? Go to our links page and click on their banner for more information.
