Here it is, the middle of the night again. (I work nights, so normal wake-up call is precisely at the crack of noon)
Yeah, it was actually our pre-Labor Day Picnic. If you weren't one of the many hundreds to attend this years event, you really missed a soggy good time. No, it didn't rain, but somehow (thanks Alecia) quite a few industrial strength water cannons showed up. Our own Barefoot John actually had a tail gunner on his motorcycle taming the masses who were creating the watery havoc. (Personally, it appeared to me that he was only provoking them).
On another note, a few of our world reknowned champion Scrotum Ball players put on an exhibition and assisted others in swinging a scrotum (ball). That kind of action is actually a very healthy excersize that really helped those involved in digesting the GREEAATTT FOOD!
This years menu consisted of barbequed chicken, sausage and peppers, hamburgers and hot dogs. We even had some National Coney Island Chili imported for use on the hot dogs(thanks Eastside).
DJ Bryan did an outstanding job with the music and we once again would like to thank him for his services.
We also welcomed Johnny Five home as he picked up his old patch! If you would like to be a part of the fun, just come on out and join us at Easy Does It Club at 6PM on Saturdays, 10PM on Fridays, or at Our Club in Lake Worth on Wednesdays at 6PM.
As many of you know, the monies received from this and our other events goes toward the purchase of 12 step recovery literature. We distribute Big books and Basic Texts to as many non-profit organizations as we can that are involved in the recovery process, helping people recover from their substance abuse problems.
Once again, thanks to the thousands in attendance at this years FUN event.
