Nitros Mystery Tour Oct 2010
Took the backup camera, and here is what we gets!
We left EDI promptly at 8 AM. We made it all the way to the Sunoco at the corner of Forest Hill and Florida Mango for our first planned stop of the trip. Iceman noticed a few low tires on some of the bikes, and of course the air wasn't working there so they had to go a mile up the road just to air up. When they returned, we were set to leave, but Byrons bike decided it didn't want to start. A quick trip back to my place where I picked up the jumper cables, back to the station and got his bike started. (yeah, not good writing, but its all I got!)
We finally got back in the saddle around 8:30 and got on ol' 95th street (I-95 for some). We made it all the way to Delray when we had our first unscheduled stop. Byrons bike was overheating. He has spent close to a zillion dollars this past week getting the bike ready, but apparently the bike did not get the message. He had to leave and limp it back home. By this time, Iceman had contacted Sporster Dave and he was trying to catch up with us. We did a little over the speed limit for the remainder of the trip to Holiday Park wayyyyyyyy out in western Broward County. Sporster Dave finally arrived at the park about a half hour later.
Then we mounted the airboat, and DAMNNNNN, we gotta get us one of those!
Did we see gators, yep, and birds and snakes and other crawley type creatures, oh my!
After the airboat ride, we traveled across US 27 to the truckstop/tourist trap and threw down some grub to get us going for the remainder of the trip. We went north on US 27 up to the lake and took what turns into Southern Blvd. the rest of the way in. We did some hand signal practice and it went pretty good until Timmys front fender decided it was time to put a groove into the tire. He has won the 'Lets seem how much naugahyde we can pull out of his ass award'.
All in all, everyone had a good time and are looking forward to the next Mystery Tour!
